Please refer to these submission guidelines before submitting your work.
We are now accepting sumissions for our first zine!
Please note this is only open to Black people!
We define Black as Black African, Caribbean, Afro-Latinx and African American Heritage, including those of mixed-Black heritage.
Zine Submissions:
We are looking for submissions for our new zine, that looks at the topic, Fashion.
What does Fashion mean to you? It could mean expression. Could also be how you feel, thoughts and ideas or just fun, whatever! You can tell stories through garments, spread messages, raise awareness etc. This isn’t limited to just clothes, think hair, accessories, nails, diversity in fashion, photography. We really want to highlight young Black designers and creatives in this issue!
Submit your music, text, styling, photos, videos, art, illustrations and poems for a chance to be published in our FIRST issue! Don’t forget to credit your team.
In your email, please remember to include the following:
1. Full Name
2. Your pronouns (e.g. she/her, they/them ect)
3. Social Media and/or Website
4. What work you are submitting and why?
5. Your submission in a document/image attached to the email.

*** Please note we do not accept PDFs for anything.
Important note:
All work must be original and not be submitted elsewhere, including other magazines, blogs, social media etc.
Submission Guidelines:
Written pieces:

It should be no more than 700 words.
Please try to supply at least one image with the written piece. Credit image and the team.
Tip:
• Send written piece as a word document/google docs file - no PDFs
• Do not paste your work into the email! Attach it, please.
Visual Pieces:
Email to blkinbritsubmissions@gmail.com with the subject line - “VP Submission - Your Full Name”
Please send a short description of the visual piece, in a word document/google docs file alongside the maximum of images of 10, no more than that. All images must be sent as JPEG/PNGS. Credit image and the team.
FAQ’s
Who is this open to? This is open to anyone who is Black.
We define Black as Black African, Caribbean, Afro-Latinx and African American Heritage, including those of mixed-Black heritage.
Can I apply from outside of the U.K? We are only accepting entries from people based in the UK.
Can I submit pre-existing work? Yes, you can! You do not have to create new work for this, but you are also not discouraged from doing so.
Can I submit multiple entries? Yes.
